One of my strategies for launching a product at my last position was starting a blog and diving into content marketing. How do I explain why I made this decision? It just seemed like a good idea at the time.
Saying something like, “I just thought it was a good idea,” is a negative signal of thoughtfulness. Instead, you can explain that you realized that there was a lot of missing content on the web that pertained to your project. In addition, you can mention that you wanted to add SEO (search engine optimization) to your strategy. Talk about how many articles you generated and why you selected articles on those topics. Describe your content marketing strategy. If you wrote about topics where there was not much competition on SEO, you might say that your search volume to competition ratio was relatively high, which brought additional user traffic to your website.
