Sales bootcamps range wildly in time commitment, price, and job placement. For example, some bootcamps have been running smoothly for years while others have less experience and often, less success training students. To help get you started, we’ve put together a list of the best tech sales bootcamps you can use to learn sales.
Flockjay is a bootcamp for people interested in launching a career in software sales. The 10-week, part-time bootcamp offers an immersive experience without requiring people to take time off of work. In the first 8 weeks, students learn tech sales fundamentals like inbound & outbound sales, technical sales software, and researching potential buyers. Then, the final 2 weeks of the program focus on job support like interview prep, resume building, and salary negotiation.
Students also attend networking events with partner companies. Attendance is required for at least 90% of live lectures or else students will lose access to job support. They master sales tools, customer relationship management systems (CRMs), best LinkedIn practices, effective messaging, sales meetings strategies, and science-based psychological sales. For the final modules, students prepare for the job search by building a personal brand, training in workflows & systems, reaching out to hiring companies, and completing their science-based sales certifications. 3. GrowthX Academy
GrowthX Academy offers courses to people who are interested in sales, business development, product management, UX design, and growth marketing. Their 8-week tech sales program includes quizzes, hands-on exercises, and 1-on-1 mentorship. Tuition is $1,750 or 4 payments of $500. The self-paced bootcamp Vendition has free online courses in sales for tech, plus job placement assistance for those looking to land an entry-level account executive position at a SaaS company. The curriculum includes online sales lectures, hands-on assignments, assessments, personalized 1-on-1 coaching sessions, online office hours, job application training, and interview preparation. Vendition’s 3-month sales apprenticeship gets students a paying job at a local tech company and pays them $7,500.
Young people seeking an alternative to college can check out Praxis. This 1-year part-time bootcamp gets people experience in sales, marketing, sales development, and more. They utilize a project-based curriculum, bi-weekly live meetings, and 1-on-1 career coaching. Praxis’ program includes an internship opportunity where grads can build their resume and sharpen their sales skills. Students also graduate with a polished portfolio that helps them stand out to employers. Tuition for the program is $12,000. The Praxis job placement team actively searches for job opportunities, matching students with interviewers and hiring partners.
Aspireship is an online sales bootcamp that teaches people the skills they need to land a job as an account executive at a SaaS company. The curriculum includes live class sessions, recorded lectures, quizzes, assessments, and virtual job simulations. Class attendance is mandatory, but the rest of the course is self-paced. The program only takes around 20-30 hours to complete. It is 100% free.
Another lower-cost option is Coursera. They have free tech sales courses taught by professors at accredited universities. Their online courses feature recorded lectures, hands-on assignments, and community discussion forums. While most of the courses are free, students can pay for an exam that earns them a “Coursera Verified Certificate” that they can add to their LinkedIn and resume.
Uvaro is an online sales bootcamp that offers a paid, part-time course in tech sales as well as student internship opportunities. Their flagship 12-week bootcamp meets 2 hours every day, 5 days a week. Students participate in live lectures, workshops, speaker events, mock interviews, group assignments, and other hands-on projects.
Select students are given the opportunity to join the paid internship program at week 4 of the bootcamp. Interns practice the tech sales they learn from the course with a flexible schedule. Intern pay is based on sales performance. Students are paired with a professional career coach to guide them through the course and their job search. Tuition is $5,000, with the paid internship is also available to help offset the cost.
9. SV Academy
People interested in landing a job at a startup can check out SV Academy, a sales bootcamp that helps people become sales development representatives (SDR) at fast-growing companies. They offer 4 week full-time and 12-week part-time bootcamps. The curriculum includes live lectures, discussions, hands-on activities, and interview prep. Every student works 1-on-1 with career coaches and industry mentors to master the material and land a job. After completing the program, students interview with SV Academy’s hiring partner startups like SurveyMonkey, Optimizely, and Persado. SV Academy is technically free, but graduates must commit to working at their partner company for a whole year if hired.
10. Austin Sales Academy
Austin Sales Academy is an online sales bootcamp offering a paid, self-paced course plus a free introductory course. The 5-week paid flagship sales bootcamp is self-paced with about 40 total hours total. Students participate in live webinars, assessments, and 1-on-1 live coaching sessions. The curriculum features training on CRMs, databases, social media, B2B sales, and sales engagement software. The final 6 hours of the bootcamp teach students networking skills, resume optimization, and interview techniques, with lots of 1-on-1 mentoring opportunities. Tuition for the bootcamp is $1,800.
