Hi, I’m Alex! I’ve been working in sales for innovative startups like SoftBank Robotics as well as large corporations like NBC Universal for years. Now, I work as an industry mentor at Pathrise to help people land great sales jobs through workshops and 1-on-1 mentorship. Check out my article with the best tech sales bootcamps to help you learn sales fundamentals and advance your skills.
Aspiring sales professionals often look to bootcamps to start a career in tech sales. Bootcamps offer a practical curriculum that students may not find at university or business school. Plus, they often provide a variety of opportunities to network and intern in the industry while learning.
Sales bootcamps range wildly in time commitment, price, and job placement. For example, some bootcamps have been running smoothly for years while others have less experience and often, less success training students. To help get you started, we’ve put together a list of the best tech sales bootcamps you can use to learn sales.
Flockjay is a bootcamp for people interested in launching a career in software sales. The 10-week, part-time bootcamp offers an immersive experience without requiring people to take time off of work. Then, the final 2 weeks of the program focus on job support like interview prep, resume building, and salary negotiation.
Students also attend networking events with partner companies. Attendance is required for at least 90% of live lectures or else students will lose access to job support. In addition to lectures, students meet instructors for weekly office hours, submit weekly progress reports, and work with industry professionals on real sales practice techniques. Full tuition is $5,000. However, Flockjay allows their students to finance their education through a 10% ISA. Learn more about Flockjay in our review.
The bootcamp Prehired teaches students the skills they need to launch a career in software sales. Students work through 15 different hands-on modules, which take about 12-22 weeks to finish.
