What does Loyola University Digital Skills Bootcamp do?
Loyola University Digital Skills Bootcamp offers online courses to help people become a digital marketer or cybersecurity professional. Students participate in live instructor-led lectures, assignments, and portfolio projects. Despite being remote and self-paced, instructors host lots of Q&As so students can get feedback and support.
The flagship digital marketing course teaches students the fundamental inbound and outbound marketing skills they need to land an entry level job. The bootcamp runs for 400 hours. However, the program is split into 2 courses: a 20-hour intro class and a full 380+ hour course. In addition, students must finish the introductory course before moving onto the full course.
Students learn a wide range of marketing skills such as search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), e-commerce, content writing, and social media marketing. The curriculum also covers related skills marketers can use to excel on the job like UX/UI design, data visualization, data analysis, and even web dev. Finally, students work hands-on with in-demand marketing tools like Facebook, Google Ads, and WordPress as they create their own campaigns.
The course also includes career services. All students participate in 1-on-1 career coaching sessions, 3+ career workshops, interview prep, and networking events. In 1-on-1 consultations with experts, students optimize their LinkedIn profiles, review their portfolios, and prepare their resumes for the job search.

What does Loyola University Digital Skills Bootcamp cost? How much work is involved?
Tuition for the whole 400-hour flagship digital marketing bootcamp is $14,000. This price includes the 20-hour introductory course, which is $500 separately.
The informal admissions process begins by calling the admissions office or filling out a brief online form. Then, students meet 1-on-1 with an admissions officer in person, virtually, or over the phone. The program does not have a formal interview or exam. Loyola Bootcamp admits applicants of any experience level on a rolling basis.

As a relatively new program, Loyola University Bootcamp does not have too many online reviews. However, they were recently on Course Report’s top marketing bootcamps list as well as the top 24 CompTIA Network+ bootcamps. They were also featured in both Biz New Orleans and Whereyat articles. Both of the writers had mostly positive opinions of the program. Some Redditors were also impressed with the parent company behind the bootcamp, HackerU. - Likewise, both the University of Denver Bootcamps and Vanderbilt Bootcamps run part-time digital marketing courses. Like Loyola University, their programs feature a hands-on curriculum, portfolio projects, 1-on-1 coaching, and university-branded certificates.
