Their part-time courses cost about $750 to $3,950 while full-time bootcamps cost $13,500 to $15,950. Full-time General Assembly students can pay with an income share agreement (ISA), so they pay with 10% of their salary after they land a job that pays more than $40k per year. A top review praised the supportive online environment, impressed that “Mentors are generally available during the day via Slack.” However, they were frustrated by the demanding pace, having to “hammer away at challenges for periods longer than 2-4 hours with greatly diminishing returns”. Although one data analytics grad enjoyed the engaging lectures and the curriculum hands-on style, they still felt “you have to be a total beginner” to really benefit from the curriculum. They were also annoyed that students had to “beg for feedback” instead of getting regular reviews. However, grads on Reddit still valued the weekly 1-on-1 mentoring calls with their mentors and took advantage of message boards to collaborate with peers.
