Pathrise has one goal: to help people find the best possible job. Job seekers are mentored through each step of the job search, starting with their resumes and online profiles, moving through application optimization and interview prep, and ending with negotiation.

This article will provide information about Pathrise as a program and our results so you can get a good sense of what we do and how we can help.

What is Pathrise?

Pathrise is an online program for job-seekers in tech. We teach lifelong skills to optimize your job search and land the best possible job through an 8-week core program, frequent 1-on-1 sessions, technical workshops, and ad hoc sessions. The program continues until you are hired, and you don’t pay anything until you start working at a job you love.

Fellows are paired with career mentors who create a personalized plan to optimize their resumes, write compelling cold emails, gain confidence in their behavioral interviews, and much more. Our career mentors are former leaders in university career services at universities like Stanford and the University of Chicago.

They also work 1-on-1 and in workshops with industry mentors who teach them valuable skills for technical interviewing, online assessments, case studies, and more. Pathrise industry mentors were formerly senior team members at top tech companies like Facebook, Salesforce, Apple, and more.

Who is Pathrise for?

If you are looking for evidence-based guidance on your job search, Pathrise is for you. The program works best for job-seekers tired of searching on their own. When you are ready to have an experienced mentor coaching you through the process we are here for you. If you have a growth mindset and are driven and motivated to find the best possible job, Pathrise is a good fit.

Currently, Pathrise offers 14 tracks for job-seekers looking for positions in these fields:

  • Software engineering
  • Product management
  • Data science
  • Marketing
  • Sales
  • General Engineering
  • Finance, Banking, and Accounting
  • IT and Cybersecurity
  • Operations Management
  • Project and Program Management
  • Strategy and Consulting
  • Supply Chain

So, does Pathrise actually work? Is Pathrise legitimate?

The short answer is – yes, to both. And our results speak for themselves:

  • We have helped over 2,000 people land great jobs in the past 4 years.
  • While in the program, job-seekers find 5-15 quality opportunities per week.
  • With our optimizations of the application stage, people get a 2-4x increase in responses.
  • When interviewing, candidates see a 1.5-3x increase in performance.
  • With guidance from their mentors, people get a 10-20% lift (average of $10k-$20k) in salary from negotiation alone.

On average, fellows in Pathrise find a job within 3-5 months, compared to 9 months on average on your own. One month of unemployment is $8,333.33 in lost income for someone who would make a $100k salary, so finding a job quickly saves you money and energy.

Is Pathrise worth it?

With 2,000+ placements, we know the answer is yes. Here are some of the stories from our amazing fellows:

Eva Bowdain

Eva was placed at CMRG (Solv Wellness) as a Digital/E-commerce Manager after 3 months. The role was listed at $100k, but she negotiated it up to $120k. One of our career mentors, Oyin, shared her last text message from Eva: “From wrangling my résumé to helping me through the negotiations, you and the Pathrise team were game changers! 10/10 would recommend the service to anybody.”

Kevin Lein

Kevin Lien was placed at Meta as a Display Test Engineer. Kevin joined Pathrise hoping to make $80k and landed a $150k job. We were able to help Kevin with his self-confidence and how to articulate his value. In only 51 days with us, he was able to overcome his imposter syndrome and start working at Meta!

Wendel Bernavil

Wendel had been trying to get a job with Amazon for five years when he started with Pathrise. He had tried recruiting companies, educational courses– Literally everything that requires an upfront payment and had zero success/ support. He came to Pathrise feeling discouraged and financially restricted. He told me, “If Pathrise doesn’t work, I’m going to give up on my dream to work for Amazon”. We told him that “the only time your dreams don’t come to life, is when you give up– I’m not going to let you give up”.  After two months, Wendel accepted a formal offer from Amazon and was able to negotiate his original offer to get an additional $8k in salary and extra 10k signing bonus!

Pathrise is a career accelerator that works with students and professionals 1-on-1 so they can land their dream job in tech. If you want to work with any of our mentors to get help with your job search, join Pathrise.
