How to get in touch with a company

I have a strong background in education and technology, including Google Classroom and Suite. I am really interested in applying for job opportunities at Google for Education. However, no positions are currently available. What can I do?

You can begin by sending a cold email to the hiring manager or recruiter, who may be able to connect you with someone for an exploratory conversation. In addition, you should set up a “Google Careers Alert” so that you are notified as soon as any roles open up in our department.

We have some helpful templates and information that can prove beneficial as you prepare. To find the recruiter or hiring manager’s email address, use a tool like Clearbit or guess based on their name (often it is FirstName@Company, First.Last@Company, or FirstInitialLastName@Company). Then, make sure you write a compelling and concise cold email that explains your background briefly and what your goal is (informational interview, coffee chat, or info on a role). You can use our cold email template to adapt for your needs.
