I am struggling to describe my biggest weakness. Should I pick a weakness that I have overcome and turned into a strength?

Your biggest weakness should be something that you are still working on, not something that you have already overcome. You should describe your weakness and how you handle it. This can help demonstrate that you are a self-aware solution finder.

If your biggest weakness is imposter syndrome, you could say,

“I think my biggest weakness is imposter syndrome. Sometimes I do not feel confident about my own knowledge or expertise when I am presenting my work or talking about a certain topic. There have been times where I have not voiced my ideas because I was worried that my idea didn’t solve the problem. To help overcome this weakness, I prepare as much as possible so that I can feel confident when contributing to a team meeting.” By answering the question in this way, you can also demonstrate you are genuine, as well as a hard worker.
