Hey everyone. I just wanted to let you all know that the Grace Hopper Conference is starting in a month which means that recruiters are looking at submitted resumes. What most people don’t know is that you can submit your resume even if you’re not attending. You will have to create a guest profile but I think it’s definitely worth it. You can submit your resume here. You can find all the corporate sponsors here. Wish you all the best of luck!
thank you for sharing!
Thanks for posting this! I submitted my resume (not attending the conference), and I have an interview coming up with Microsoft as a result (!).
Great info here @justnealpatel, thanks!
Woah, that’s awesome! Congrats and best of luck!
I set my account and placed my resume but I’m having a hard time searching for companies to apply on the site. When I click career fair jobs it says I have no results even when I click all. Am I doing something wrong or am I suppose to wait till someone contacts me?
Is this only for woman because the full name of GHC is Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing?
Can men also submit their resume?
The expo is still a few weeks away, so it’s possible there are no results because companies haven’t started posted openings yet. The career fair jobs might not get posted until the career fair goes live during the conference in October. Companies will be doing interviews at the event, so I think if you apply for career fair jobs, you are telling them you are available to interview at the conference.
Great question. While it’s a conference meant to empower women and women in tech, there were a fair amount of guys when I went last year. Men can also submit their resume and I think you will have an equal chance given that your profile has some way of standing out. Regardless, this is an amazing opportunity to see if companies are interested in the skills you offer. If anything, you’ll make some networking connections!
That’s awesome! Great insider tips
No problem! Just trying to give us all the same advantage!
Right? Very glad it’s helping people.
