I know that I need to ask follow-up questions in a product design interview. I was thinking about asking, “How old is your intended user?” Is that a good question?

If you ask a broad question, the interviewer might turn the question around on you and say, “How old do you think our target user is?” To improve this question, you should focus on a specific age range or demographic. If you are interviewing with an EdTech company, you might ask, “What age range is the product intended for? High school students, college students, or another demographic?”
