This privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their personal information is being used online. Mavenform Inc. d/b/a Pathrise (“Pathrise”, “we” or “us”) offers a public-facing website, blog, and application, as well as a portal designed for use only by enrolled students (collectively, the “Services”).  Please read this privacy policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect or otherwise handle your personal information via the Services.

What personal information do we collect from users via the Services?

When visiting our website, registering to use our Services, placing an order, signing up for our newsletter, responding to a survey or marketing communication, or using certain other features of our Services, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number or other details.

When do we collect information?

We collect information from you when you fill out a form or enter information via our Services.

Additionally, please note that we collect a variety of information related to your Google accounts to facilitate your use of our Services. Pathrise’s use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, we use the gmail.modify API to do the following:

  • Parse emails and identify them as containing either job application or interview details to automatically add them to our job pipeline tracker;
  • Parse emails to extract important metadata like company and job title; and
  • Send cold emails on behalf of the users of our student portal to recruiters and hiring managers at companies to which the users applied.

How do we use your information?

We may use the information we collect from you in the following ways:

To improve the Services.To allow us to better service you in responding to your customer service requests.

To administer a contest, promotion, survey or other site feature.

To quickly process your transactions.

To ask for ratings and reviews of services or products.

To follow up with you after receiving correspondence (live chat, email or phone inquiries).

How do we protect your information?

We maintain technical, physical, and administrative security measures designed to provide reasonable protection for your personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, and alteration. The security measures include containing your personal information behind secured networks that are only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems. In addition, all sensitive/credit card information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. All credit card transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.

While we are dedicated to securing our systems and Services, you are responsible for securing and maintaining the privacy of your password(s) and account/profile registration information and verifying that the personal information we maintain about you is accurate and current.

Do we share your information with third parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personal information without advance notice. This does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in providing our Services, conducting our business, or generally serving our users, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release information when its release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property or safety.

Additionally, in the event of a business transfer, such as a merger or a purchase or sale of all or part of our business or assets, we may disclose your personal information to a buyer of those business or assets.

Do we use 'cookies'?
